VENDOR HELP

Common vendor requirements

Florida FACTS shows existing state contracts. A contract there can point to a future procurement, but is not itself an open bid. Always check the current agency solicitation and addenda for the exact requirements, deadlines, and submission instructions.

What to prepare

State vendor registrationKeep a MyFloridaMarketPlace Vendor Information Portal (MFMP VIP) profile current, including business details and relevant commodity codes. Follow the solicitation's instructions for when registration is required.
Business and trade qualificationsBe in good standing and hold any professional or trade licenses required for the work. HVAC projects may specify contractor credentials and qualified technicians.
Insurance and bondingPrepare certificates for the coverage and limits specified by the agency. Some projects require bid, payment, or performance bonds.
Relevant experience and capacityShow comparable work, references, staffing, equipment, service area, and ability to meet schedules or response times.
A compliant bidSubmit all required forms, pricing, certifications, and attachments by the deadline through the specified method.
Payment and eligibility paperworkHave taxpayer information, including the applicable W-9 process, and any required eligibility declarations ready.

Register with the posting agency

FPI helps you find and research an opportunity. To submit a bid, register with the agency or its designated bidding portal. Each opportunity page links to the relevant registration instructions when its source is known. Registration, supplier approval, and trade certification may be separate steps.

FPI does not take a broker's share of contracts you win. Government programs and bidding systems can still have their own fees. For example, the State of Florida lists an MFMP transaction fee of 0.7% for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, subject to the state's terms and any applicable exceptions. Check the current MFMP fee rules ↗

For HVAC vendors

Start with licensing, insurance, comparable work, service coverage, and required response times. These are common screening points, not confirmed requirements for every FACTS record.

The solicitation controls. Check the full agency posting and any addenda before bidding.
